Restaurants for girls weekend

We%26#39;re first time visitors to Newport, 5 sisters on a girls weekend. We%26#39;re staying in Middletown but would like any suggestions for restaurants in Middletown or Newport.

Restaurants for girls weekend

Try the Brick Alley Pub in Newport on Thames, good food, in shopping district

Restaurants for girls weekend

Castle Hill - Excellent food, excellent service. Best location in Newport. Spectacular views. Very romantic. Pricy. Excellent wine list. Not in town. Ocean drive.

White Horse Tavern - Very Good Food, excellent service. Cozy colonial atmosphere. Historical building. A quintessential New England experience. Very expensive. A little out of center of town.

Clarke Cook House. - Although the food is usually very good it can be inconsistent. I have had very good meals here and not go good meals here. They prepare a very good lobster dish. Very nice atmosphere. What you would expect, as far as atmosphere, in Newport. In town.

Astericks - Very good food and service. On lower themes. I would consider this in town. Hip, trendy atmosphere. Excellent bar with great cosmos and espresso martinis. Hang out for locals. Sunday evenings there is a jazz ensemble.

West Deck - Great good. On Waits Warf. In town (lower themes). Very unassuming atmosphere. They serve up some very innovative dishes and are always eager to please. Fresh seafood and great filet mignon.

Puerinis - Very good Italian food. Fresh ingredients and some innovative twists on old favorites. Memorial Blvd. Not far from town.

Scales and Shells - Very fresh seafood, simply prepared. Many grilled seafood dishes. No meat items on menu. Very casual atmosphere. Very popular. Lines form during high season. If you like seafood you should probably try it. Lower Themes.

Mamma Luisa - Good food. Lower Themes.

Black Pearl - Great clam chowder. In town. Would go for lunch. Other nice lunch items like lobster salad, steamed mussels or crab eggs benedict.

22Bowens - I would compare this to Ruth Chris Steak House. I find I can get much better steak in my area and we were there 3 times and it was OK. Not great. Expensive and not worth it in my opinion. There are those that disagree with me. In town.

for ';the place'; - go to asterix - ask for a table in Erica%26#39;s section - very good server.

good people watching - amazing cocktails.

For 5 girls on a vacation , I would skip the romantic , fancy spots . ( unless you want to take me with you -lol! )

Try the more fun spots like Newport BluesCafe%26#39; (Live music ) and Red Parrot ( Huge menu and lots of fancy cocktails .) Remember most places stop serving at 9 or 10PM . Bar service has last call at 12:45AM
