';close to the action'; in naragansett neighborhoods

Hi. I%26#39;m looking to rent a house in Naragansett, but want to be close to ';where the action is'; because we will have teenagers and preteens who want to walk to attractions. I also want to walk or bike to cafes, restaurants, shops and beach. Is the right area close to the town beach? The beach is long, I know. Can someone suggest a few streets so I have an idea of proximity when looking for properties?. Thanks for any advice you can give!

You will probably want to look for a house that says it%26#39;s in the ';Pier';

area. The general area is divided into sections:

The Pier ,which would mean the Narragansett Town beach is closest. You need a town pass to get onto the beach. Shops, restaurants are all close.

Scarborough would be the next area and houses would be closer to Scarborough State beach. You do not need a pass to walk onto the State beaches. Not too many shops, but There is a Cumberland Farms. ice cream store, Pizza nearby.

';Sand Hill Cove'; houses will be close to Roger Wheeler State Beach.

Pt. Judith houses are sort of in the middle of Scarborough and Sand Hill Cove.

The whole area is bike friendly with lots of flat area. You will find almost every type of restaurant/store etc within a five mile radius, so I guess it just depends on how far you want to walk or bike to get to places.

Good Luck on your vacation.
