harborside inn or pearls- any experiences in winter?

I am considering the harborside or pearls for a midweek feb stay. The reviews run the gamut of great to bad for Harborside and positive for Pearls. I%26#39;m looking for affordable but comfy and not too small a room - I don%26#39;t like quaint. In town is a plus so we don%26#39;t have to drive after a night out.

We are considering Pearl%26#39;s but the rooms look itty bitty from the website and I%26#39;m wondering if the bathrooms are nice...it is considerably more expensive than Harborside.

ANY input is appreciated.

Thanks

Deb

There is a reason Harborside is less expensive--you get what you pay for. Your observations about Pearls are correct, ok but iffy.

Try the Admiral Fitzroy Inn for an alternative. It%26#39;s half a block from the Harborside, is well run and rooms are better than average, while rates are reasonable.

Have you considered The Hydrangea House Bed and Breakfast? It is absolutely beautiful and they have a number of specials and packages available in the winter including an in room massage service package!

Good Luck and enjoy your time in this wonderful town.
