Hotel on, or in walking distance to, Easton's Beach

I%26#39;m heading to Newport in late June, and want to stay either on, or very close to, the beach. I hear Easton%26#39;s Beach is nice. Can anyone recommend any good hotels on the beach?

Hotel on, or in walking distance to, Easton's Beach

There are 3 Hotels right across the street from Easton%26#39;s Beach Comfort Inn, Best Western, and Inn at Newport Beach.

Easton%26#39;s Beach is ok, but not the best.....2nd beach down the road is better....but there are no Hotels there.

Easton%26#39;s beach can have a seaweed problem, although in June you%26#39;re usually early enough before the big bloom comes.

It is a nice beach for walking though, and the Atlantic Beach Club is a 20%26#39;2 30%26#39;s something hangout during the weekend. (Bands, %26#39;Hot Bodies%26#39; etc....)

I%26#39;d suggest staying downtown and either driving to the beach or taking the Trolley.....not much else around the beaches when the sun goes down, you%26#39;d have to cab it back into town for eating/drinking/shopping etc...

Ditto 2nd Beach- much nicer, plus you can check out Purgurtory Chasm on your way there where legend has it Indians would jump across it in order to marry their maidens. 2nd or Sachuest is about a mile east of Easton%26#39;s. You could bike or even walk to any of them if you wanted. Easton%26#39;s is more of a scene; there is volleyball on weekends I think.

Thanks for the info. I%26#39;ll check out 2nd Beach instead. Appreciate the help. I%26#39;ve got no issue biking/driving to the beach, and staying downtown. What%26#39;s a nice hotel to stay at, that%26#39;s not crazy expensive?
