Which hotel?

Never been to Newport before and taking a 2 day/1 night trip begining of April. Which would you stay at The Hyatt or The Viking Hotel? We definatley want to do the Cliff Walk, see a mansion (The Breakers) and do a nice dinner. Also if you had to pick one place for dinner where would you go? Thanks in advance!

Which hotel?

That time of year, I%26#39;d suggest the Viking, they%26#39;ve recently finished a renovation, and the location is better. The Hyatt is out on Goat Island, and in the summer has great views to watch all the activity on the bay...but for April, you%26#39;d probably be better off with the Viking.

Plenty of dining options to pick from:

Casual: Brick Alley, Red Parrot, Salas%26#39;, Scales and Shells, Zeldas

Nicer: Mooring, 22 Bowens, Clarke Cooke House, Rhumbline, White Horse Tavern, Tuckers, Pronto

Funky Bar/Lounge: 5th Element, Salvation Cafe, 180,

I%26#39;d play it by ear and check out the menues when you get here, depending on the mood your in.

Also check out www.gonewport.com for alot more info...

2nd on the Viking, it%26#39;s closer to everything.

defintely do that white horse...it%26#39;s lovely...and the history is incredible.

For dinner, if you have to pick one I would say either Pronto or West Deck. Have fun!
