Ahhh, I see from your previous post yoou%26#39;ll be there at the end of June.....what sort of budgete do you have in mind? Last week of June the Tall Ships will be in town, and the crowds will probably be huge....hotels / B%26amp;B%26#39;s will be charging top dollar.
If clean and affordable is all you really want, you may want to try the America%26#39;s Cup Inn right on Thames Street. Its kind of an overlooked place, but may be more affordable than the other more popular places- and right in the heart of all the action on Thames St. You might want to also look at Las Palmas Inn on West Broadway, the more hip section of Npt where there are some great spots like the Salvation Cafe, Noreys, or the Corner Cafe. All is in walking distance.
