Hosting Wedding Ceremony on Scarborough Beach

Does anyone have any advice? The ceremony will be late June 07 on a Sunday and I am concerned about the amount of people.

Have you already checked with the State about regulations for beach weddings? Do you mean you are concerned about the number of strangers on the beach or the number of guests in your party?

Both, I am pretty sure I can get the town ok. I am concerned for the amount of people frolicking about on the beach. I have not been to that beach in late June, and am not sure how traveled it is.

The beach won%26#39;t be as crowded as it would be in July and Aug and how many people are on the beach will depend on the weather and the time of the ceremony, but it is a public, state beach and it will be June!

Defintely check with the State on regulations. Good Luck.

It is a state not a town beach so the town won%26#39;t have anything to say about your plans. If the beach doesn%26#39;t work out you could contact the town about using the gazebo next to the Town Beach behind the post office in the Pier. Good view, nice park setting, and free.

Another choice might be at the Point Judith Lighthouse which is on a cliff with great views. That area is probably state owned too.
