Hi, we are planning a trip (4 adults) to Newport on the 2nd week of May. Any suggestions about where to stay. We plan to spend about $120/nite per couple. Is that reasonable? seems like decent places in Newport go pretty expensive. It will be our 1st time there, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

With your budget, you may want to have a look at the Black Duck Inn or have a look at some of the other inns. What%26#39;s nice about the Black Duck is you are within walking distance of shops, waterfront dining, etc.

This way if out for the evening you can walk back.

Check out the Marshall Slocum Guest House. Very reasonable with great breakfasts.

Hi, my husband and I met in Newport, RI ten years ago so we visit often. We both agree that Newport is beautiful but also on the pricey side regarding places to stay. We found the Attwater Villa in December and will not stay anywhere else. We walked everywhere from their location. My husband and I usually will get a less expensive room so we can go out and have a couple of really nice dinners. In the past we%26#39;ve come across some real stinkers for that reason wether the room wasn%26#39;t clean or miles out of town. You get what you pay for, for sure. Another one of our favorites was the Hydrangea House, it%26#39;s also a nice place.
