planning a family weekend (2 ';adults'; and infant %26lt;2). any recommendations on places to stay? old harbor vs. new harbor? harborside inn seems convenient but have read mixed reviews. dory looks nice, but no availability. we%26#39;re just looking to sit back and relax, proximity to town and beach are preferable. will be walking to most destinations since will not have a car and most likely will not be able to rent bike/moped with infant. any recommendations for activities with infant would be appreciated as well.
1st timer to the islandI%26#39;m a little limited as to how much insight I can give you as I don%26#39;t have any kids. But I would suggest Old Harbor as the place to stay because your transportation options are limited. The beach behind the Blue Dory and Surf Hotel is very calm and can be accessed by a short trail. There are more shops here as well. I would suggest the Surf Hotel (right near the Blue Dory).
