We will be in Newport on St. Patty%26#39;s Day. Any suggestions on a couple of casual type restaurants? Any suggestions for Friday evening March 17th?

Mudville (Irish Barmaids), Aidans (irish food in a real pub setting. Both on/near the parade route...both packed on the 17th. Lots of pubs to pick from...these two have good food and are affordable....pay a little more but more selection at the Brick Alley.

The St. Patty%26#39;s Day parade is actually the weekend of the 10th in Newport - not sure if this changes your plans. Busker%26#39;s is good for Irish pub atmosphere. We always go to Sabina Doyle%26#39;s - great views, food and fun. However, I hear it may be under construction. The Red Parrot is also good. Try Scales and Shells if you are in the mood for seafood - but remember they only take cash.
