Are there restaurants around Bellevue near all of the mansions? I am trying to plan out my day, and I am having trouble finding information about any places to eat near the mansions. Thanks!
Restaurants near mansions?Most of the mansions are on, or near, residentially zoned areas of Bellevue Ave. There are no nearby (easy walking distance) restaurants.
The closest are in the commercial part of Bellevue Ave. at the intersection with Memorial Blvd., about a mile away from The Breakers. Those that serve lunch (I think) include the La Forge Restaurant, Pat%26#39;s Pub at the Canfield House, and Pasta Beach, a small trattoria type location. More casual is the Newport Creamery in the shopping center across Bellevue from the La Forge location.
None of these are particularly noteworthy for dining, but will give you a basic meal at a reasonable price.
If you want a real treat and have a car, go out around the Ocean Drive after visiting the mansions and have lunch, or an early dinner, on the lawn at Castle Hill. If the weather is right, it doesn%26#39;t get any better (but you should not be dressed too casually).
