We will be heading back to PA from MA with a 14yo son and 12yo daughter the first week in July. We have 2-3 days and would like to find a nice place to stay in Newport at least for 1 night. Is it sensible to go to block island for 1-2 nights and where would you stay if you would go to Block island? Where should we stay in Newport? My husband and I stayed at The Jailhouse 13 years ago. Is it still ther and is it ok for kids? Any help would be appreciated.
Newport/ Block Island
Block Island is very crowded and expensive for the fourth of July week. Several places will only rent for the week, most of which are probably booked by now. Newport will also be crowdwed, but will have many places to stay. I suggest the three nights in one plce or the other, less than that in BI isn%26#39;t enough.
