Anyone stay here? Is it a dump??? Please give me an overall rating. Looking to stay in Newport end of October and dont want to spend more then $125 a night. Went 2 years ago and spent $300 a night and it was not worth it (only good thing was the location - historic district). We are still looking to be in the downtown area. Please send recommendations.
Americas Cup Inn???????
We like Americas cup . We requested the King SIze Bed - non smoking . Room was very nice . The rooftop deck was not really kept as nice as it should be . And my wife isn%26#39;t fond of the sink / vainity area being outside the bathroom, but I like that . Location is great , there is an extra fee for paking accross street in lot . You might also consider the Vanderbuilt Hall , or Bayberry Inn on Jamestown .
Americas Cup Inn???????
Just noticed I was the only one to post a reply to two of your three questions ... And I%26#39;m also from NJ ! ( Woodbridge area ) .
ya, thats right - you are the only one replying - LOL! i am from Atlantic Highlands (next to Sandy Hook). Looks like we are gonna go here this year for Halloween with some friends. We definately want to be in the downtown area, but i refuse to spend an arm and a leg like we did 2 years ago - but i dont want to stay in a shat hole either. well, thanks for the tips. when are you going to Newport? if you are going at the end of oct, check out the Belcourt Castle Halloween party - looks pretty good!
Remember folks, how small RI is. If we want to go to Newport, we drive there and don%26#39;t stay overnight, so it%26#39;s probably difficult to get a Rhode Islander to give you a reading on hotel rooms anywhere in RI. I%26#39;ve lived in RI all my life, and I don%26#39;t think I%26#39;ve ever spent a night in any hotel in the state. We can let you know about restaurants or hotel locations or activities, but overnight accommodation recommendations will probably come from out-of-staters, for the most part.
