Looking for info on places to have a few cocktails. Are they any with outdoor seating? Scenic views?

Since no one else here replied , I guess I will .

There are lots of Thames Street restaurants with bars that have a view . We like the Landings on Bowens Wharf , and Vincents . There are bars in waterfront areas other than Thames Street . Our favotite view in The Coast Gaurd House on Rt 9 a bit north of Newport ( in Naraganset ? ) . There is also ouside service at Castle Hill ( A bit on the formal side ) . There is a nice bar with a view on Goat Island at the Hotel ( Hyatt ? ) . The Rum Runner Cocktail Cruise has free Rum Punch and a twilite view of the harbor . Great for photos !

Bars

Well, the best view by far is to have a drink from the lounge chairs of the lawn of Castle Hill- indoors is more formal, but outside is casual. Or drive out to Fort Adams and go up on the other side of the hill behind the Eisenhower House and get the same view- huge lawn plenty of parking, picknicking, etc. A very cool spot.

Many restaurants in town have views of the harbor- Christies, which I beleive is now closed, the Mooring, the outdoor grill out on Goat Island (casual boating crowd)
