We will be sailing from Newport the first week of August, will be on the boat for 4 days and nights, we are wondering if you have suggestions on places to stay and things to do in Providence and also in Newport before and after our trip on the boat. Will arrive in Providence and will need transportation to and from Newport.
Sailing in Rhode Island
Depending on when you get there, a couple weekends a month Providence has what they call WaterFire. They light fires in the river, people play music, sometimes there are performers. It%26#39;s a great atmosphere to stroll around and relax. You can check that out at www.waterfire.org.
Also, if you%26#39;re hungry and like Italian, head on up to Federal Hill. Just ask the people at the front desk how to get there. It%26#39;s our version of little Italy. With something to suit every budget I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;d find something there.
