Westerly (Misquamicut area) has great beaches. There are lots of rental cottages -- Stanton Realty does a lot of rental business. Also look at the Westerly/Pawcatuck Chamber of Commerce and Miquamicut Business Association web sites. There are many things happening at the beach (movies on the beach, Blues on the Beach (concerts), fireworks, and lots of other things. For a change of pace, go into Westerly proper and attend summer theater at the Granite Theatre or Shakespeare in the Park in our lovely Wilcox Park. It%26#39;s a great place to visit, and even better to live here!

Check out Narragansett about 20 mi. north/east of Westerly. Nice beaches, good places to eat, some nightl life, three nice beaches (Scarbourough, Town Beach, and Roger Wheeler), fair number of rental properties within walking distance of the beach. Westerly is also nice but Narragansett puts you closer to Providence and Newport activities if you hit a non-beach day. Let%26#39;s face it, the beaches from the CT border to Narragansett are all wonderful.
Durkin cottages do a ton of business up here in South Kingstown / Narragansett. The website is durkincottages.com.
We used them to find places for relatives to stay when they came for our wedding and they were great.
