I will be staying in Newport Labor Day weekend and was wondering if there is a ferry service from downtown or do I have to drive to Judith Point to get the ferry to Block Island?

Block Island Ferry Service is available year-round from Pt. Judith, RI and seasonally from Fort Adams in Newport, RI to Block Island town center (Old Harbor, RI). Ferries from Pt. Judith accommodate cars and passengers. Sailing time is 55 minutes. Car reservations are necessary. Service from Newport takes passengers only. Sailing time is 2 hours.
