Places to stay in Newport with 2 teens

Are staying one night in the Newport area on October 2nd and am trying to find accommodations that are either two bedroom suites or double queen rooms. Prefer not to stay at chains and would like to stay somewhere that has local flavor (i.e., cabins or something like that). Any ideas? Thanks!

Try Castle Hill Inn. They have cottages by the ocean. Not sure of the exact layout of the rooms. Check their website.

Thanks we%26#39;ll check it out!

Vanderbuilt Hall will be much less expensive . Also it will be nearer to theThames Street area which will have more to do for the teens ( and you ) .

Castle Hill is lovely, but pricey. Newport has lots of bed and breakfasts, many in historic buildings. You might want to nose around on this site:

Another option is the Hotel Viking. It%26#39;s been in Newport for ages.

Thanks! I checked the Castle Hill Resort and felt it was a bit out of our range for four persons. Will check the website you recommended to see what else might be out there.

Ther are lots of listings ( and other information ) available at gonewport.com .

I would also advise you check the fairfield Inn on Jamestown . It is just over the bridge from Newport and they have great 2 room suites Its called the Bay Voyage . Note they have bayview rooms with terraces and street view rooms ( still nice !).

The Vanedrbilt has junior suites , but you would probably do better in the full size suites . Vaderbilt has a great location and their own parking .

That was supposed to be VANDERBILT .

Thanks Allure45 and ILVRI for your great suggestions; especially noting that the teens might like the area where the Vanderbilt is. The Fairfield Inn also sounds like a great solution with the suite options. I%26#39;m sure we%26#39;ll find something now. Thanks again for all your help!
