Any recommendations for dining near the Waterfire route? Something casual, but not loud. We are a group of 7, ages 72 - 9 years old!
Is it appropriate to pack a picnic instead of dining out, and, if so, where would be a good place to sit and enjoy our picnic? Could we bring chairs?
Also, how should I book a gondola ride?
Many thanks!

Waterfire generally has interesting food stands along the way, and you can probably find a cheap tasty meal that you can eat as you walk.
Alternatively, I would suggest walking over to Federal Hill. There are lots of places to eat there, including Angelo%26#39;s, which is an inexpensive, casual Italian joint. There%26#39;s also the Providence Place Mall, although the restaurants there can have loooong waits on Waterfire nights.

for information on the gondolas including phone number for reservations. www.gondolari.com. There are many places along the river to sit and eat while you watch waterfire.
